Straw bags are a wardrobe staple for the spring summer season that will not be going away any time soon. Although there are now wooden and bamboo options available which are super cute and desirable, a straw bag is a little more functional and useful to have. They match just about everything and are now available in a whole host of styles, sizes and price points to suit all kinds of buyer.

There is a great selection of straw bags available to buy online from reputable high street stores. It is not always convenient to go out shopping, especially if you’re like me and holding down a full-time job while parenting. Classic and timeless, the round straw bag with shoulder strap is a go-to staple accessory. I have searched for a selection of classic straw coloured bags as well as a few different options including coloured ones, some with lurex threading, and a couple of different shapes for a bit of variety. These bags are soft enough to hold all kinds of daily items and can also provide a solution for work as some are big enough to hold notepads, laptops and paperwork.
Straw Bag: £20-40 Hard/Clutch
Smaller and sassier, the hard clutch or cross body straw bag can take you from day to night. I like a clutch bag with a cross body strap so I don’t need to carry it all day, especially useful if you have children to look after and hold hands with. Or a cocktail to hold on a summer’s evening!
Luxury: £40 plus
Splurge on something special with this collection of luxury high-end straw bags. I have included some options for formal evening wear like summer weddings as well as a more traditional round straw bag shape but with beautiful woven patterns for that extra detail. Everything in this edit is a little bit special.
